Inspiration: Giclee Print from my painting on canvas, originated from a series of photographs or 'plastic portraits' featuring single-use plastic blowing in the wind. When moved by the wind, the plastic took on a different appearance and reminded me of an alien landscape. I painted this work in such a way that the entire landscape was formed of plastic, with unrealistic snowy peaks trying to cover over it, but inevitably slipping off. By inverting and titling it as I did I feel I've created a work which holds much duality. The contrast of beauty and threat within one work.
